Hi all. I won’t lie I’m a little stressed. I paid for my Invisalign treatment and it was relatively inexpensive compared to other locations. They had good reviews and are one of the top Invisalign providers in my city. My orthodontist was said to have worked on 900 patients for Invisalign and apparently he also teaches others about Invisalign so I found him fairly trustworthy. I went to the location and it was in a kind of shady area but otherwise was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Everything in the consultation went well, they took pictures, the X-rays and all that jazz. Afterwards I spoke to the doctor, he was nice enough, a little dismissive but straightforward. I told him what I wanted to fix and he agreed. He did keep trying to sell me veneers which I can not afford at the moment, for my two lateral incisors at $1500 each. I told him I was just planning on doing bonding for the time being and while they kept trying to sell me on veneers I ended up paying about $2600 upfront for 40 trays (no retainers included.) My treatment plan is about said to be about 6 months. So I left the consultation feeling good and confident in my purchase. My next appointment was scheduled 6 weeks later, so this upcoming Tuesday. I’ve been deep diving the internet and seeing terrible reviews about the doctor. I’m really nervous since the price was kind of low compared to others on here. Luckily my teeth aren’t bad by any means. Just a bit of crowding on my bottom row and my front teeth are turned inwards a little bit. I’m hoping that all goes well but I guess I’ll find out on Tuesday. I’m assuming my trays will all be there by then and I was also told I would get all my trays at once because of COVID. I would see him about once every 6 weeks. Im starting to get a bit sketched out and I’m just really hoping I didn’t get scammed.
