Originally, I completed my treatment. My teeth looked good and I was happy. After some time, I re inspected my bite and teeth & can see 2 of my teeth shifted slightly. Therefore, a follow up visit I let my dentist know. Well let’s fast forward, what I thought was going to be just a few trays.. I learned. I’ll have 9 trays, however he advised me it’ll be 6-8 months, with a lot of attachments and rubber bands. All In all, he told me I have an overjet which you want, but my teeth are butting right up to one another and he wants to create some space. I know it’ll be worth it in the long run, but I had no idea I’d have this much more time. If you don’t feel confident you have the best smile you could, be an advocate for yourself! From what we thought was going to be a simple shift on two teeth, was him realizing my bite itself needed to be further corrected.
