Mold with feeders concern
Post Body

I made up a Rubbermaid bin with Surinam roaches the other day to use as feeders for my mantids but last night noticed some mold on top of the substrate (coco fiber), thought I rang it out well enough but guess not. Worried I completely screwed myself… If I scoop all the visible mold out, place the bin in the sun for a good while to dry the substrate out quite a bit, and out some spring tails in there, would that be enough to get it under control? Or are the roaches not safe to feed to my mantids at all now since the molds been in there for a bit..?! There’s already some isopods in there and I bought some spring tails but couldn’t get a whole bunch of spring tails as they’re like a dollar each I couldn’t afford more than like 40. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
