Long lived maggot?
Post Body

I'm wondering if there is a species of fly that lives for a long time in their larval form. Alternatively, is there a safe way to increase the length of larval lifespan? The main reason for this is because I absolutely adore caterpillars and maggots, and would love to spend a while with one as a pet, as opposed to their short lived adult form.
