So my wife loves jumping spiders and I just found one in our home. After googling I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a Bold Jumping spider. It has the triangular orange spots so I assume it’s a juvenile. I’m 90% sure I see an epignye so I think it’s a she. It seems overall very curious.
I’m thinking of going out and getting a little terrarium for it and buying live insects for it.
I’ve heard that if they are not eating or drinking, then to just release them.
Would anyone advise against trying this and then releasing if they’re not looking comfortable/eating. I’m not going to harbor it until it starves, if I notice it’s not eating we’ll release it promptly. She’s just been obsessed with them and I’ve heard nightmares of people ordering them online.
Any advice for keeping them (or not) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
