Hey y’all , most the info is in the title . I have been finally just tested for mycoplasma /ureaplasma after years of IC like symptoms and both came up positive . They gave me antibiotics and I should have some idea by the end of the week . I have read that ureaplasma can be combined with IC , or damage done to the bladder can cause it . Haven’t found much info on it though unfortunately. Does anyone have resources on this? I haven’t been to a urologist and gotten official diagnosis yet for IC, but had several primary care doctors guess that I had Ic but told me they couldn’t do anything but refer me to a specialist , and I was uninsured . This testing ended up happening only after landing in the ER with horrible pain with urination after years of “flares” with negative cultures , the doctor there wanted to try and get me more answers after I told him how long I’ve been having the same results . Fingers crossed , but it’s been a long time so cautiously optimistic that this might finally feel like a solution , or at least the first piece of the puzzle
