It all started on 4th November 2024. Suspected UTI for one month, 4 different types of antibiotics. No relief. Urine samples all came back unremarkable but they still plied me with antibiotics because they really had no idea. Blood tests also unremarkable. 2 x ultrasounds. One pelvic, internal and external. One kidney and bladder. Nothing showed. Then looking at an overactive bladder. Came up negative. Now in my 8th week and a referral to a urologist for cystoscope to see if I have Interstitial Cystitis. Not coping at all. Ended up at the hospital because of Xmas, my doctor is off on holidays. They gave me Fentanyl at home but the care up at the hospital was abysmal. My pain started getting worse again after 2 hrs and for the next 2 hrs I asked for more pain relief. 3 times over the next 2 hrs I was told it was coming. I left in disgust. It’s the pain that is unbearable at times. Please give me any suggestions eg; I’ve read Benadryl can help. Heat packs or cold packs? Anything else, I’d be so grateful to hear.
