Globe or Smart roaming (prepaid SIM) on a cruise (at sea) or get an esim like Airalo?

First time to be on an Asian Cruise this coming March. Was doing some research and unreliable daw minsan ang internet, aside sa medyo pricey ang Internet package offered on board...

I was wondering if anyone has tried Globe or Smart roaming (using a prepaid SIM) while nasa dagat and cruising? haha or di niya kayang sumagap ng signal kasi nasa dagat? Singapore, Malaysia at Thailand ang pupuntahan btw. Anyone tried it?

Just heard of Airalo which apparently gets used by seafarers but not sure how reliable it is yet. Havent seen any vlogs about it
