OK, I've never done one of these before, please bear with me and accept my apologies if I've made any errors.

So while watching endless list videos on YouTube, specifically this one at timestamp 34:26 I was half listening and half playing some game on my phone. The video announcer informs us that the person who recorded the video later turned up as a missing person. His name is (allegedly) Chase Hove and he went missing on the 15th of June, 2017. The YouTuber credits this video as the original source and that's pretty much where the trail has ended for me so far.

There seems to be little to no information on how this video made it onto the internet or if there's any connection between it and the fact that Chase Hove's remains were discovered on or around the 17th of February 2020 according to this article. The final verdict on this case was suicide. I said the person responsible for filming the original video is only allegedly Chase Hove as someone in the comments mentioned that the car make and model is different between the video and missing persons report.

I've never come across something as bizarre as this, and my Googling skills are amateur at best. It leaves so many unanswered questions. I'd really like to be able to sleep tonight and this is just the kind of thing that's going to keep me awake. Once again I'm sorry if I've made any errors here, thank you for reading, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this, at very least hopefully it'll up my research game.

Edit 1: I also found a YT channel under Hove's name with only one video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy2hQ8001kA I can't tell if this person is Hove or not.

Edit 2: I'd say the general consensus is that the video is someone exploiting a sad situation. The video I posted in edit 1 does indeed appear to be Chase but seems irrelevant to this mystery. It's disappointing that someone has done this, claiming the person in the video is Chase and further compounding an already sad situation for the family and friends. I'd ask why, but this is the Internet so yeah.
