Hey guys
I am looking to teach IB Psychology in a school in Europe. I know it's extremely competitive etc etc. I've been looking allover online and talking to a few people and I have what I am afraid is a very basic question. What is the appropriate teaching qualification to teach in Europe? I know it's the PGCE in UK and I know the US and Canada have their state and province license systems. But what is considered as a teaching qualification or license in Europe? If anyone can shed some light on this in any European country (especially the Nordics or Western Europe) I would be grateful.
Do I really need a Bachelor's in education? I have heard that IB schools don't need that and they only need IB certification. I am planning to do a Post Graduate Diploma in international education. Would this suffice?
Also, do I need to do TEFL as well? A couple of companies here said it would be better on my application even though I don't plan to teach English abroad.
Thanks in advance.
