Hi, I am looking to get started into a brand new career field of insurance sales. I’ve been interviewing around and have gotten some good leads with supplemental insurance.

I am leaving the service industry of 15 years and was a boxing coach/personal trainer. I am thinking (hoping) I learned some good skills that are translatable to this new field.

I was hoping anyone in the field or supplemental insurance specifically had any pointers or advice on basics I need to know to help me become successful. Being is it is a commission job, I am nervous about beginning with no guarantee of an income. Any resources or advice on where to gather more information or skills I need to acquire and work on would be greatly helpful.
