Denied Disability Insurance Due to Weight
Post Body

I filled out the initial application for short and long term disability insurance through my employer (USA/Nebraska). The application was denied due to my BMI being too high. For reference I am 5'4" and about 205lbs. While I wouldn't argue that I'm not overweight, I don't think this gives a complete picture as I work out frequently and my body fat percentage is normal. Does anyone know if this decision is usually pretty final? Or does the appeals process go pretty smoothly? Would an appeal of this kind usually be approved?
