Homeowners insurance claim? Should I file?
Post Body

Hello all!

First time homeowner here. Here is my situation: I recently started to clean out my spouse and my primary bedrooms closet. Needing more space and to do some inventory. To my surprise I found a few expensive items missing.

LV duffle bag $3,600 LV Watch $3,000 Tag Hauer watch. $2,100 La Vien custom ring $600 David Yurman bachelor $725

I am not sure if homeowners insurance would cover these items under our policy and if so how much of an impact could it have when we renew next year? We have personal property coverage of 200k but I believe there is an additional coverage needed to cover replacement costs of more expensive items. Does this sound right? Like I said first time home owner so go easy on me! Thanks in advance.
