Can I ask my doctor to write me a prescription if my insurance changes and my doc is out of coverage?
Post Body
I have a prescription for a controlled substance that can only be sent in every 30 days manually, not by regular refill. My insurance changes in November but my prescription is in the middle of the month and I haven't gotten a new doctor lined up yet.
Can they still send my prescription if I give them updated insurance and they're no longer covered? I really meant to plan this further ahead but the past 2 months at my new job really flew by and making calls during business hours is always a nuisance.
