My auto insurance with progressive more than doubled, I was paying about $606 now increased it to 1600 and 900 after. I called 2 weeks ago and they told me I had a 31 days lapse and now called again and now they're telling me I had a 12 month lapse. I never had a car before and got a new one on august 20th and got an insurance with geico on that same day, it was then cancelled on the 28th, I got a new quote from progressive on the the 25th. I also sent the proof and statement from geico showing I did not have a lapse. Why are they telling me I have a 12 month lapse? Is there anything else I can do? They told me they will get it sorted out and call me, but that's what they told me about 2 weeks ago and now payment is coming up.
