Rear-Ended, Experiencing Pain and Unable to Work: What Can I Do?
Post Body

Hi everyone,

I was rear-ended in a car accident on June 16th. The driver who hit me finally got back to their insurance, and they have approved the repairs for my car. The initial estimate for repairs is around $7,000, and the insurance has agreed to cover any additional costs if needed.

When the accident happened, I didn’t feel much pain initially and didn’t call an ambulance. However, two days later, I started experiencing severe neck soreness and back pain. It got worse when I went back to work, which involves heavy lifting. I couldn’t lift anything without significant pain, so I had to stop working at my main job. Now, I’m only able to do a part-time job as a cashier, which doesn't cause as much pain.

It's been almost three weeks since the accident, and I’m still in a lot of pain. I haven't been able to work at my main job, which has affected me financially and mentally. My mood isn’t the same, and I just don’t feel right.

I've heard that I might be entitled to more than just the car repair costs. Can I get a settlement for the pain and suffering and the income I’ve lost from not being able to work at my main job? What steps should I take to ensure I get what I’m entitled to? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help.
