Not at fault accident Question - Rental and $$$
Post Body

I was bit by someone last week who admitted fault. They have full coverage with Allstate. Does their insurance pay for my rental and the deposit?

Allstate sent me money for a rental…but I can’t afford the $300 deposit right now on my credit card, which is maxed out. I really don’t wanna keep doing Lyft to and front work, even if they’re paying for it because I HATE being stranded at home. HELP!!

I also have a question about my Gap insurance. It’s likely that my 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan will be a total loss due to frame damage (among other damage). I realize that Gap insurance covers the remaining balance on my loan if the amount Allstate offers is less than I still owe on my car. But what happens at that point? I wouldn’t owe anything for the loan, but I also wouldn’t have anything to put down for a down payment on a new used vehicle right? How do they even determine how much your vehicle is worth? PLEASE HELP!!

My car: 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan S, 105K miles, I live in southwest Louisiana.

Yes that’s how I’ve always known them to be dealt with. I do have rental car coverage on my policy.
