So around this time last year my local Asian market had Dragonfly brand Sichuan Dan Dan noodles and I adore them. Problem is, they stopped carrying them a few weeks later. And it's like they never existed. I can't find them online, can't find them in any other store, so I'm reaching out in the hopes of finding them again. Or at least something as good
So, the details: the noodle cake was circular, and the noodles themselves were wide with that sort of ribbon flutter to the edge.
The seasoning was a singular packet of what looked like chili oil but there was alot more flavor in it that you'd expect.
They were spicy but with an amazing depth of flavor and that delicious numbing tingle that comes from Sichuan pepper.
I'm also going to add a photo of similar packaging in the comments!
