Every time I tap a heart I get "Sorry, this feature isn't available right now". I looked it up and apparently, Insta thinks I'm a spammer. OK, I admit I recently went overboard and may have followed a lot of accounts in a short time span, but still, it's been over 24 hours now. When will this restriction be lifted?
Just thought I'd mention that I am using a VPN (ExpressVPN). Could that factor into Instagram restricting my account? If I turn off the VPN, or if I change cities, it lets me like stuff again, so clearly it's restricting by IP and not by the account itself. Maybe the VPN has nothing to do with it, I was just curious if any other VPN users have had this happen.
I've never had my account restricted like this before, and this was hardly my first follow binge. And to be fair to me, it's not like I'm following random strangers. These are accounts that Instagram recommends to me based on my interests, and they have thousands of followers. I don't get what I did wrong.
ETA: It's been a couple hours since I switched my VPN to a different city and now Instagram is doing it again. Like I said before, the problem seemed to go away after I changed cities, but here we go again. Now I'm beginning to suspect it's aware I'm using a VPN and/or it's suspicious of my IP suddenly changing.
