Just a rant. Mods please delete if not allowed. Anyway, my IG is mostly just for keeping in touch with friends and relatives, and a few support group chats I participate in. I don’t follow celebs, “influencers,” “creators,” or basically anyone I don’t know irl or have some sort of personal relationship with. I try to avoid the Discover page as much as possible. Sometimes I’ll scroll for memes. But now IG is making it even more obvious when mutuals like something or comment on it. And the algorithm keeps pushing content to me that mutuals interact with. No matter how much I block or click “not interested,” the app keeps pushing. And on the flip side, I assume the app is also showing my followers posts I’ve liked or commented on. I don’t want people who follow me seeing random stuff I’m liking or commenting on! I’m just over it. It’s nearly completely useless and obsolete at this point.
