Can’t access old account

I am trying to delete my old instagram account that I just don’t want to be up anymore since it is old and from when I was young. I forgot the password though, and every time I use a reset password link from Instagram, it takes me to another account I had made. The only way it is saying I can reset my password is through a link, but that link takes me to a whole separate account. Please help!
