Why does my IG DMs show a green activity circle by call buttons for every single person when they’re not online? I tried tweaking settings but broken.

Hi, my IG DMs show everyone as active but I have activity status off. I tried turning it on and off but still tells me everyone is online in DM but they’re not. Help?
