Got a few questions for the shoppers

Post Body

First off, I've been an instacart customer for a few years now. I thank all you wonderful shoppers who have picked up my groceries for my lazy, antisocial ass.🤣 Every once in a while I get to wondering what goes through the shoppers minds though. So I found this place and figured I'd ask.

  1. Is shopping an actual viable way to make decent money? I know it depends on the area really.

  2. I've worked retail and currently work in delivery for UPS so I know how customers can suck. I always try to be as nice and polite, understanding, and generous as possible. Always tip 20% and bonuses for extra good or fast service. But do you all still get the nasty, jerks and mean people too?

  3. What do you think about the people you shop for? Personally, I feel like a lazy ass when I order my stuff. But hey, I work a long week and I'm tired and last thing I want to do is shop on the weekends when everyone else is out there. I'd rather pay the 20 bucks to have someone get my stuff and bring it to me.

  4. Do you have a way to track or see preferred or previous customers? I mean I see the same people shopping my orders. There's like 5 regulars I see, and an occasional "new guy". And like I said, I'm not cheap. I'll happily pay someone to bring my groceries to me.

  5. Do people actually order huge, epic, cart filling, car door jamming orders? I tend to order the essentials and enough to get through the week. But I still prefer to do that BIG shopping trip myself. Sometimes you just need those impulse buys.

That's all I can think of now. Again, thanks to all you wonderful people who brave the crowded stores filled with annoying people so us lazy bums can sit at home and have our groceries delivered. Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

5.
