Hey all,
I had a Blue Series 2-in-1 wired up in my bathroom (actually two of them, both for separate light runs). They've been working fine for the past two or three weeks.
The other day, my wife went to turn one of them on and it popped and tripped the breaker. After pulling it out of the wall and double-checking, it seems like something near the load wire nut shorted, because there's singe marks on the underside of the plastic cover (photos here) near the top button and load and traveler wire nuts. The traveler wire was not connected, so I'm confident it has nothing to do with that.
After visually inspecting the internals, I couldn't see anything immediately wrong. Nothing appeared to be broken or out of place. I tried wiring up the device again. It did not come online (didn't autoconnect to my HA ZigBee network), and instead kept flashing the lights it was connected to.
The other light switch, right next to it in the same junction box, is still fine, by the way, and replacing the blown switch with a normal dumb switch works fine, so I doubt it's anything with the junction box wiring or circuit itself.
Anyone have any idea what might a) have caused this and b) how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help!
