I am always baffled by the nightly traffic buildup here on the 15(N). It seems to start around 2:00pm and last until 7:00pm, almost 7 days a week. What causes this area to back up so bad and so often? Is it the Winchester off/on ramp? I know there is construction on the freeway being done after the Border checkpoint. Is this in part to relieve this area?

It's just a mess all around and doesn't seem to get much attention for further development like other areas of the freeway. Live just north and always try to avoid this area after lunch when I can.

Just up the road in Menifee, Newport Road is a cluster fuck too. The new overpass being built over Holland Road will help alleviate a little of this area in the future.
