Misaligned running stitch? Has anyone encountered this before?

Included in the photos is a inkstitch simulated preview on how the running stitch was supposed to end up.
I am unsure whether this is because of my machine (Husqvarna Viking Topaz 30) or poor digitizing.
Hoping someone has encountered this before and could shed some light on possibilities.
