Post Body

I have a massive pdf file that when imported into Inkscape has 15k objects. Because of this, the program is running at a snail pace and when the svg is saved it ends up being 12k mb. Is there a way to combine all the objects into one image to reduce the file size? Im layering another svg over this one so all these objects are just a base layer and not needed as objects in the final output.

I tried to convert the pdf to png or jpeg prior to loading but I lose too much resolution when doing that. The image is a show floor map with booths, numbers, and descriptions so I need the quality of that text to remain in the base layer.
