Before you post asking "why is my text having 'x" issue", turn off your stroke on said text. That is usually the cause of your issues.

If you want a stroke on your text, make sure you have rounded caps selected under the stroke menu. That is usually the second cause of your issues.

If you want a stroke on your text and already have rounded caps selected, select round join and then go back to your preferred join style to see if that fixes your issue. That is usually the 3rd cause of your issues.

Finally, the thickness of your stroke also affects the way the text acts so make sure it is a proper thickness for the size of your text.
