How the Infinity Train is a lot like a Saw Trap (and in my opinion worst)
Post Body

In this essay I will explain how The Creator of the Train (in this Iā€™m going off a hypothetical that One-One made the train I donā€™t believe it but it makes it easier for me to explain.) is just as bad tbh even worst than The Jigsaw Killer aka John Kramer from the Saw series.

(Just a quick sidenote: I dont want people thinking this is a Defend Simom post thats not what it is this is for better terms a #FuckTheTrain post in where I point out the MAJOR flaws in the train. Also I am open to constructive criticism just know Iā€™m not a big fan of the whole ā€œoh but the train might of been better before Ameliaā€ argument because yeah maybe it was better and it could of also been worst so please no hypotheticals like that.)

One-One is just like if not worst than John Kramer aka Jigsaw from the Saw horror movie series. ESPECIALLY if we find out that the train (One-Ones creation) takes away their(the person they are picking up) free will of whether or not they enter (Lures them in and makes them enter through some sort of trance)

Iā€™ll explain: In Saw John Kramer aka Jigsaw kidnaps his victims (or has his accomplices do it doesnt really matter he is still a murderer) and then puts them in a scenario where they have 2 options. Beat the trap and escape(because the only way to escape is through the trap) or die (he only traps those that he thinks donā€™t appreciate life so he puts them in traps that will test/show him if they really do or not).

Compare this to the train/One-One shall we: The train shows up and essentially kidnaps you from what weā€™ve seen (making the train look appealing or hell in tulipā€™s case actually does kidnap her by saying it goes to osh-kosh) because they have a ā€œproblemā€ in their life that they are running away from/needs fixing. While on the train 2 things can happen 1. You can get your number down to 0 (because just like doing the trap its the only way to escape) 2. You can get worst like simon did and die.

Now here is where I explain how One-One (again just using a hypothetical situation where One-One made the train i donā€™t actually think he did) is worst then John Kramer (Itā€™s also just me basically explaining how the Train is shit)

1.Explaining the situation: Unlike John Kramer who explains to his victims why they are there and how to escape the trap One-One doesnt explain at all why they are there. Sure he says ā€œthis is a train where you sort out your problemsā€ but unlike Jigsaw who actually tells you what those problems are One-One doesnt. Also before you say ā€œwell I mean he says if you get your number to 0 you go homeā€ sure he says that but he doesnt say how. Atleast Jigsaw was nice enough to give some god damn instructions. Hell Jesse even says ā€œWait come back that didnt explain anythingā€. That seems like a fucking problem to me.

  1. Who they kidnap: In John Kramers time as Jigsaw not once did he put someone under the age of 18 (only 1 exception of this but technically they were kidnapped not put into a trap. Also they were 17 so not that big of a difference). But in Infinity Train we see children as young as probably 8-10 on the train and thats only the ones weā€™ve seen. And one of them(simon) ended up dying (yeah thats right i am blaming one-one for the death of any person who died on the train (again hypothetically im not really blaming him))

  2. Environment Unlike in Saw where your only obstacles are a trap that can kill you, on the Train youā€™ve got

A. Train cars that can move at random even if youā€™re on the bridge causing possible death

B. Cars where you can die in or get trapped Examples: a1. The car where Jesse almost became all wood a2. The car where the cloud guy tried to trap Jesse a3. The train where you literally can get crushed by a boulder (we see it in the IT book 1 trailer) a4. The car where Tulip almost got stuck in the mirror world Also One-One made the Chrome car so yes they did make the mirror world. Because without the chrome car there would be no Lake.

C. The wasteland and ghoms While yes the wasteland and ghoms might of already been there or maybe the wasteland and ghoms were causes by it that still doesnt matter. What matters is One-One allows it to be part of the environment. Weā€™ve seen enough tech on the train for me to make an educated guess when I say that no way would they not be able to have a forcefield of some sort of barrier keeping out the ghoms/keeping passengers on board. (Also wanna sprinkle in the fact that you can literally kill yourself at any moment if you wanted to which is not what you have in an environment for helping people) In a Saw trap there is nothing more than you and a trap you gotta get out of. No other obstacles like soul sucking cockroaches which arent stopped from getting let in.

D. There can be bad denizens The train creates bad denizens which doesnt make any fucking sense. Why would One-One (someone who wants to help you through your problems) make a denizen that can be bad when thats what heā€™s trying to stop you from becoming. Like why was a cloud that tries to trap you made? Like if Jesse didnt have that piece of paper they would have been trapped. Theirs also the cat who isnt bad also isnā€™t good. We also see perry a literal parasite. Like why are their other creatures with free will??? Like the cat probably wouldnā€™t but one of the issues with that denizens have free will is that if the cat wanted to it could push someone off the train

E. I guess what Iā€™m trying to say is in a live or die situation while John Kramer has no other non human things that can kill you besides the traps. One-One does in the form of a dangerous wasteland, denizens with free will who can be evil, and cars you can die in.

  1. The time your stuck With Saw the traps can be done in less than a day. While in the trains case you can be stuck for days weeks months years EVEN DECADES. And atleast in Saw trap victims/survivors cases they are still in the real world and people will know for certain it they are dead or not. With One-One he puts you in an environment where if you die people will never know in the real world, and if you live it could be months later and your gonna be returning/adjusting to a new life (which ironically considering you just got through your problems, can cause problems). Also Tulip had to spend like 5 months on the train just because she wasnt accepting the changes in her life. No way can you justify someone losing 5 months of their life if it meant they got over their problems (im not saying what John Kramer does is good either im just pointing out that people lose a large part of their life from being stuck on the train) the time lost greatly outbalances the lessons learned. Self growth needs to happen naturally, not be forced in the form of trapped on a train where you can die.

This has been my ā€œFuck the Train and fuck whoever made itā€ essay (reminder Iā€™m not blaming One-One Iā€™m just using him as an example of someone who might of made the train)

Thank you for anyone who read through all of this I hope you have a good day and canā€™t wait to hear what you think.
