Cheating happens because people don't feel fulfilled in their relationship and are just not mature enough to talk to their partner, or even worse, their partner just doesn't listen. The feeling builds up over time. It doesn't just happen overnight.
At least, that's the case for relationships that have lasted years.
There are many reasons why people will cheat. Unhappiness just seems to be a big reason.
