So yesterday was super exciting... I was officially 22 weeks and my cervix had shortened from 4cm to 1.5cm so immediate bed rest was implemented. I asked about cerclage, but studies have recently shown that it does little for twin pregnancies, so my dr didn’t feel it was necessary.
Luckily, my mom is a retired labor and delivery nurse so she will stay with us weekdays and watch my toddler and Mr. stuff gets the weekend. I am only one day in, and I already hate this because laying down hurts and my mother is a neat freak so she is cleaning my house. Normally I would be glad to have help with cleaning but I hate watching someone clean while I do nothing!
Is there anyone out there on bed rest or has dealt with it in the past, and do you have any hints for surviving it? How long were you on bed rest and did you make it to term?
