As much as I love Eric, episode 4 was a perfect culmination of basically his story arc

His mentors wife had a point that basically he is like a cowboy. A cowboy fighting against a modernization perhaps of society at large. His age is perfect because he feels like the very end perhaps of a more of a generation before him which didn't value inclusiveness and mindfulness at all. I mean they drew quite a few parallels and contrasts with him and Harper as well to fully illustrate how a generational difference can change dynamics ultimately. His final shot looking at the tomb which is he now stuck in was a fitting final shot of our great shark R.i.p indeed.
