so many thoughts about the whole episode last night as well

Post Body

- Last nights whole episode was one huge Wall Street reference. Between Yasmine and daddy arguing in an elevator basically to the whole Jesse-Harper dynamic, coupled with Naive Melody playing in very ultimate last few minutes, hell Eric feels like a Lou right now. Will Jesse destroy Rican, which will ultimately destroy Harper in process as well? I could see her getting axed by seasons conclusion.

- I don't know how much I am buying Jesses story arc, as wouldn't any board see him coming from a mile away and prevent Jesse from becoming a shareholder as well?

- I love Gus as a character in conception and his story arc works in season one because it feels connected and also relevant to the series as a whole. A man whom recognizes his background, his wealth, his race, and his connections to a degree make him a perfect cog within a wheel. So far basically this whole season his story arc is starting to feel fragmented and disconnected from everybody else, which isn't a good sign at all. I love him as support for Harper and Rob but feasibly ultimately wonder if his last scene and line from season one shouldn't have been his conclusion?

- Yasmine understandably was embarrassed but as predicted her daddy saw right through the whole guise and it further illustrated Yasmines shortcomings within this whole industry(no pun). Yasmines an interesting contradiction because she has all the tools and resources to be successful but ultimately and seemingly can't put them to the right use. Also nice job snorting coke with Rob sitting awkwardly in front of you, after hes kicked the habit as well.

- Poor Rob got basically emasculated a few times by close(not so close?) friends with this whole episode. Harper masturbating in front of poor robbie and Yasmine bumping coke. I weirdly feel a very ultimately strong connection to Robert as a guy whom deals with similar issues, although no coke addiction. I'd say hes my favorite character but much like Gus, I need his story arc basically and hopefully as well to start leading somewhere for him being such a pivotal main character.

- I like this show but have accepted their are some contrivances basically I need to accept as a fan as well. It'll never be a top shelf cable drama, but the shows highly watchable and does a great job ultimately of putting me within the same frame of mind as the characters, much like Harper, I am really not sure ultimately if I should trust any character within this show and not to mention, I really end up going back and forth with how I feel about said characters as well.
