In the elections for the NA there are a few major political parties as well as a few smaller but important parties.

Partido Liberal Nacional: The current ruling party with 27 out of the 55 seats which practices liberal laws and policies combined with state capitalism and pro-colonization and trade. They also focus on internal development and are moderately militaristic. Their success leads makes them suspect to a growth in power.

Partido Liberal: The second most powerful party with 14 seats which has liberal laws and policies with interventionism and less power to government. They are not pro-colonization and anti-military. They are expected to drop in popularity as the factories they supported did not work out particularily well and the success of colonialism recently.

Partido Nacional: The third most powerful party with 9 seats is less interested in social and educational services and is pro-military and colonization. They support state capitalism. They are expected to stay similar in popularity.

Partido Social-Democrata: The fourth most powerful party with 3 seats they support a strong government, state capitalism, colonization, abolishment of slavery in Africa, social and educational funding, government ran trade and business, and nationalizing corporations. They are expected to rise in popularity due to success of these actions by Partido Liberal Nacional but are criticized for being too extreme by some other parties.

Partido Conservador: With 2 seats they are the final party with seats. They support lasseiz-fair economy and no social services. They are near anarchist and are against a strong government. They are expected to fall in popularity as what they are against have all worked out very well.

Trabalhadores Clube: They started as a workers club from Oporto which has gained a large amount of support nation wide, especially within Oporto. They support similar policies to Partido Social-Democrata but with even more emphasis on social services and higher taxes on the rich to create equality. They are inspired by the works of Engles and Karl Marx and are led by the charismatic and young Diego Rodriguez Ronaldo. One seat is expected from Oporto.

[The reason why they are so liberal is because of the civil-war in which many of the conservatives died and the success of the Liberal ruling party.]
