The workers of a glass factory in Oporto would often grab beers together in a tavern after work. In the tavern they would often discuss current events and the Portuguese Politics. They were all educated through grade school and one of the lower foremen of the factory, who would drink with them, is a member of a few Salons in Oporto as well and has university education. They all believed that, while the current liberal Assembly tries and cares about the people and fairness, more extreme measures must be taken to ensure fairness and equality in society. This group is also worried of the slavery still going on in Africa, as much as the government is trying to counter it. They compare the condition of the slaves to similar to that of the Proletariat. While the conditions for the Proletariat are much better than how it was in the past there is still a long way to come. The under-foreman has a friend through the Salons who is a lawyer and well known as a speaker for the ultra-liberals: occasionally even being called a socialist. The under-foreman invited the lawyer, named Diego Rodriguez Ronaldo, to join the "Workers Club" and help them protect their, all members of the proletariat's, rights and make things better for the people. They have announced their candidacy in the upcoming elections for the national assembly and have began campaigning. The workers club has since expanded from the single factory and now has 8,567 members who attend the bi-weekly meetings. The Club relies on donations and all members elect a Politburo of 45 members who serve as the executive decision making team. They are currently expected to make it in to the NA as the 5th place elective from Oporto.
