Ball joint

I’m in need of a lockable ball joint, there are standard ones however the issue I have is the size of the item coming out of the ball and the lock but being able to fit over it.
I’ve found something on grabcad (see images attached) however I can’t see how it would lock the ball in place.
Can anyone explain or point me in the right direction?
