How do I know when spider mites are gone?

We’ve had a spider mite outbreak in the household. Me, my partner, & my roommate have been very diligently spraying soapy water and sometimes wiping the plants down. My question is, when will I know they are gone? Every time I try to search I just get methods of getting rid of mites. But when do I know they have left my family in peace?
