So I am completely new to gardening and have no idea what I’m doing. I’m struggling to keep an aloe alive and grow an herb garden lmao. So my question is do you have to use potting mix for the nutrients that are in the soil? Or, should I be able to grow with what I have? I have Vermiculite, Perlite, Coco Coir, Miracle Gro All Purpose Plant Food, and seed starting mix. Can I make my own “Soil/Mix” and grow with what I have or is the potting mix a necessity? Any help would be appreciated.
