I am fairly new to Indies, obsessing for a mere six months. Going in, I assumed I'd be all spooky, lusty, darkness. No. Turns out it's my icy heart that is currently running the olfactory show. I crave cold, icy, metallic, desolation. Quiet. Snow blind. Wolves in winter. Savage and forlorn. Bracing.
So far, Fyrinnae's Thunder Snow hits that spot. "A little cold, slightly electric and very industrial-metallic, somewhat earthy as the mix of convection and icy temperatures don't quite have the soft peacefulness of ordinary snowfall." It absolutely feels like a cold thunderstorm.
The top of my wishlist is a sense of coldness, followed by something a little unsettling (industrial, animalistic, a hint of danger). The bottom of the "eh" list is sweetness. I'm down for trees, florals, aquatics, anything but gourmands.
Thanks so much for any suggestions. I haven't hit any of the winter releases because they seem to be a lot cozier than my idea of winter.
