Planning a haul!!! Help a girl out! I’m new to this brand and would love some recommendations from anyone who has tried their perfume or is handy with interpreting fragrance notes 😋
My ruby slipper was discontinued by another brand and I’ve never found it by anyone else, or found more of it. BPAL Lear:
A regal, commanding scent, but poignant. White cedarwood, blue sage and bay leaf.
Does she make anything similar? It and Dust Witch by Alkemia and Snow Wolf are the only indies so far I have adored. And I wear them often. Except the Lear. Precious few drops left and I really just smell the bottle now.
My HG perfume is a rain soaked rose garden scent I make myself, closely followed by the flagship scent by ambre blends. It’s the only amber I’ve ever smelled and liked because it isn’t dark dirty smoky earthy sexy, nor is it powdery baby light airy nasal bright. It’s simply warm. I’d love to find something similar to either of these kinds of fragrances! I feel like I’ve found more success with the more simple fragrances that have “fewer” discernible notes to them.
Fragrances that are not for me:
powdery (🤧) especially with amber patchouli and vanilla
cedar heavy (too sharp)
honey heavy (always hits like ammonia)
wild fruity candy gourmands
Wish list:
I’ve read the reports here about amber scents. There’s a really thorough one somewhere I read February 2018 that was just incredibly thorough but by the end I was paralyzed. If anyone has ever smelled ambre blends and could recommend something with a similar amber, I’m in. If there is something vanilla or patchouli on that same wavelength (not too powdery, not too darkened with woodsy sultry sexiness) I’d be game!
My fave candle smells are usually teak, Oud, fig, tobacco, cedar, real sexy warm manly scents.
