So I waffled over whether or not this should be a comment in the free talk thread but I want to write and read more about indie makeup stuff a little more specifically! Namely, stories about how they've affected your day, week, life in a good, healthy, positive way! :)
I have two:
MY BOYFRIEND'S CHRISTMAS PRESENT ARRIVED! I sent it to him on Boxing Day so I knew it'd take some time to get there but. like. it's been floating around the world for a month and a half. wut.
We're long distance so I sent him a box of silly goodies including a sample vial of Alkemia's Elixir of Aphrodite which I absolutely love. When he got it, he put some on a wristband I'd included in the box so he could know what I smelled like. I happened to be wearing the same thing that day so we had our bonding moment of happy. He likes it! :D Also, he may have tried to eat his own wrist because unf it smells so good.
The second is that OH MY GOD MY HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL AGAIN. I'm asian, so I joke about having perfect hair always. It's not true, but it is true that it's usually very low maintenance - beyond the washing and the brushing and the trimming of split ends, it will either lie pretty or a hot mess and I have no clue how to change this.
Anyway, my sister bought a new kind of shampoo and conditioner that we've both been using and it has been... not good. It has argan oil in it, but there's no lather or anything so it feels like I just spread oil onto my hair, and then it just sits there. It looked a greasy mess an hour after I got out of the shower, and for both of us, our hair was coming out in clumps so there has been a serious (more so than usual) drainage issue.
I got my first order from Savor yesterday (it came within a week! to Canada! A WEEK!!) and good lord what a godsend. I used one of her whipped soaps as a shampoo, and a few drops of HoG's hair oil on the ends and my hair feels so much lighter and cleaner and PERFECT. THANK YOU FOR DOING WHAT A $25 BOTTLE OF SHAMPOO COULD NOT.
I'd love some more stories to combat the Friday the 13th blues! :D
