Hello all,
I am a recent graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Master's in Game Design and Development. As a part of my final year project, I worked on a video game project along with 3 other fellow students from RIT and I'm happy to announce that our game is now available on Steam.
"To Carry a Sword" is a 2D Choose-your-own-adventure RPG experience where you as a player make a living as a caravan guard in a medieval kingdom, selling services to merchant caravans in order to make ends meet. You aspire to become skilled and famous enough to join the escort of Her Royal Highness the Queen. Along the way, you interact with the common folk in ways far beyond swinging a sword and scaring bandits, including tending to their animals and telling stories to their kids. These social connections are just as important as the money. You may take a job guarding H.R.H.'s caravan, or align yourself with another of the factions in the kingdom such as by joining a religious pilgrimage. In the end, it's about the people who need you.
Looking to get the game? Here's the game. The game! The game!!!
