We're back. Kind of. Clearing out the cobwebs. Much stuff broken. Much stuff coming. More details to come. So much spam.

Using existing game sprites to build mine off of, is it okay?

Post Body

I have completely original characters. However when putting them into sprite form I find it easiest to use an existing sprite that looks similar to what I want and use it as a sort of template. Is this okay? You could overlay the sprites and see the similarities but in the end it’s at that point been changed to my character and in most cases the sprites aren’t even used in the same context. Just wanna know if this is okay or if I should be making all my sprites from scratch.
