Hello, I just registered to vote and I have some questions about the voting process. Please excuse my ignorance and be kind because I am genuinely trying to learn.
Other than the presidential election, will there be congress, senate, and local government elections on the ballot?
Where can I find reputable information on various Indiana government officials?
Again, I am very new to the voting process and want to stay informed.
Edit: I found my way to indianavoters.in.gov and can see "Local Judge Retention" what does this mean?
For future reference, when are local elections? I am unsure what this portion of the ballot will entail. Does this mean I only have a yes/no option?
As a young adult I understand that is important for me to research and vote because it will and DOES affect me. We are not taught how electoral ballots work in school so I trust my community to lend a hand. I do not need biased opinions on WHO I should vote for, I am merely asking how the voting process works and what I should expect to see when I go to vote for federal, state and local elections. Thank you!
