Hello all, my grandfather recently just passed away. 2 weeks ago today. My grandfather left nothing behind as far as a will goes. Everything is in his name and my grandmothers name is on nothing. My grandfathers family farm was in his name 5 acre plot with 4 buildings and a house on it along with several pieces of machinery. My grandmother is trying to give away several of his valued belongings mainly his 2017 yukon denali xl but can not because it is not in her name. Now, I am told that everything in my grandfathers name must be appraised and placed in a trust? Is this true? Any advice for this type of situation? Thank you!
