my_qualifications: Currently in fourth year B.Tech in electrical engineering

Hi so I am currently feeling really really down. I am passionate about core electronics (analog design to be specific) but placements in my college( a tier 2 state gov college) in the field are close to 0. Only IT/Software companies seem to come. I know that I'd have to apply off campus but it honestly feels so daunting. And I am just so burnt out already I just...feel so discouraged. I sort of regret taking up electrical although I love the field, but what's the point when you won't even get a chance to work in it. So, honestly what I am looking for is some realistic advice...what's the job scenario for core field in India for freshers? How does one make it? Also, if you can suggest some semiconductor/analog design companies which hire freshers I'd really appreciate it.( I know the big names but they seem to recruit from tier 1 colleges/or mtechs or through their intern pool only)

P.S. Don't suggest masters. That's a future plan but I REALLY REALLY want to get industry exposure before running back to school.
