Offshore Equity fund vs Stocks

I am a beginner and based on the 15 days I've spent buying Indian stocks, I have realized I would be better off doing an SIP in an Offshore Equity fund. It has generated a decent CAGR so far and would not require any time from my side.
I am willing to take higher risks. I have narrowed down on Edelweiss Greater China and ICICI Bluechip. What are the caveats I should be aware of before investing in an Offshore Equity fund?
