Hey! I want to be a music journalist, here practicing and seeing if people like my reviews :D
What a great early Jan release! Seeing Panthers journey from Hustle to his current status shows his growth in versitality and also the amount of pull he has in the industry!
This album is feature packed, but Panther does more than enough to be charismatic, at the same time shining through.
Opener Aisi Jagah Se sets the tone for the album. A solo that really shows his origin. Next song Rolling is a banger! The tone is so gritty and production with beat switch is amazing (fun fact! introduction of production is from Ikka-Nastrademus)
Bemissal, Kiska Hai, Rangey Haath, G Shit, Galat Karam, Ghoda then is the main body of the album packed with features. I think all the songs sound very authentic. G-Shit and Kiska Hai have to be two of my favorite, with Rangey Haath close behind. I think Gravity, MC Altaf, Sammohit have great chemistry with Panther. Rawal also has a great verse but the production seems a little off by my opinion.
I think the next part of the album is a little bit weaker, still Dawa, Parwah both shine through. Rhyming on Dawa is top standerd, chorus is amazing and GD47 has great punches on Parwah!
I think OK Report is one of the songs that I didn't like because the chorus is very repetitive. Tata is also good, but I feel Harjas outshines Panther a little (flute instrumental is so good though).
As we reach the end of the album, I don't like the auto tune on sulag Gaye, but the rhyme scheme is really solid. Paap is awesome! Sikhander kills every feature!
I felt the conclusion of the album could be a little bit better, Parinda is a banger that will be played for ages! Teen Paanch is a drill song, I think drill is so overused in DHH, overall in the saturated genre the beat feels very generic, but again Panther keeps his punches and rhyme schemes.
Lastly, Haal is a solid conclusion, but after listening to such a gritty album, I wanted a darker conclusion that shows his current state especially after a slow song like Parinda.
Overall, it's a solid 8/10! So happy for Panther! I think he has grown so much, and with all the hustle season 2, this has to be one of the best projects released from the class. Only other project that's better I can think of is Supervillain by Gravity.
What do you guys think :D
It's just my opinion!
