I am planning to switch to JioFiber, and a representative recently visited my house. He informed me that my place is feasible for installation. but he told me that I must opt for the 3000rs plan, which is for a duration of 6 months. When I asked him why I couldn't choose a different plan, he explained that for a new connection, the 3000rs plan is mandatory. Could anyone who uses JioFiber confirm if this is true? Additionally, I would like to know about the after-sales service of JioFiber. I'm fed up with BSNL, so I want to switch to JioFiber since they're the only options available where I live.
edit: Is the installation charge of 1500rs separate from the cost of the 6-month plan which is 3000rs, or does the 3000rs cover both the installation charge and the plan?
edit: on october 1st, i paid 2824rs for the 6-month, 30 mbps jiofiber connection. the installation was done without any problems. but the sales staff who processed the order charged me 2925rs. i showed him the bill, which said that the total amount was 2824rs. he said that the extra 100rs was a "processing fee" and that i would get a separate bill for it. i waited a few days, but i never got the bill.
i called the jiofiber head office and they said that there are no extra charges besides what is on the bill. i told the sales person what the head office said. and he admitted that the extra 100rs was for himself.
review: I got JioFiber on the same day I posted this and only paid for the 6-month plan. I'm getting a solid 30mbps upload and download speed all day and night with no interruptions. I haven't needed to contact their customer service so I can't say anything about that. Started with the lowest plan in case of issues, but I haven't had any problems since the installation. I guess it depends on the area. once my JioFiber plan is up, I might switch to Airtel Xtream just to see how they compare in my area.
