So I matched with a couple of gamers in Valorant's Mumbai server while queueing competitive with a duo of mine and I had a powercut and wasn't able to be there for the time in the first round.

From there on, I had been getting trades, entering sites (I'm an Astra main) while my duelists were lurking, getting their kills on the lurks and killing them and this arrangement worked for me till I realized they are baiting me, big time. I was the only one comming in team chat too, for the sake of my teammates' info. I didn't mind it since they were getting my trades and we were winning rounds but in the last couple of rounds, they began falling off as well.

Asked my duelists: "Since baiting isn't working anymore, y'all wanna 5 man lurk or rush a site?" And idk what hair I tickled in them but they started telling me to "talk according to my KDA" (I was going 13/5/8) and "haan mai bait karunga tujh jaise leechad ko" which I didn't really mind since really, nobody has the mannerisms and the courtesy to actually talk in Mumbai server and went on ahead.

Then when we came into overtime, he asked me to go f*** my dad, to which I said "he's dead" and then he asked me to "k*** myself" so I can be a little bitch with my dad.

And then he proceeded to k*** my entire family before I did away with myself.

I know I will receive comments to develop a thicker skin to play online games with but really? These aren't kids, these are full grown adults a lot of the time who come on here to project their insecurities, much less to ACTUALLY a game of comp. And the things I got told I really don't think I could label it as trash talk but ugh.

I used to play Val after my long work days full of meetings and calls and well, idk my mental got shooketh after a last night and I had to make a post for it. Sorry if this is the wrong sub for it.
